Angry Unbelievable!

I took my car in for the clutch change this morning.

They were going to install the exedy XR6 kit and I expected all to be well. Job was to be $600 fully installed. The phonecall comes.

Bad news
Clutch fork - worn
Clutch cable - starting to wear

Some good news
Firewall - okay

Bill goes from $600 to $850.

Later on in the day, the phone rings again.

The guy who installed my clutch, used EB-D bits! Firewall, clutch etc, etc. When they went to install the 6-bolt clutch gear, it wouldn't fit.

No wonder the clutch felt weak and wore so darn quick. I wonder how many bits were also second hand!

Was I cut or what! So I call the guy who did the manual conversion and asked him why he installed E-series bits. "It was all I had!" UNBELIEVABLE! He displayed a total inability to process why I was angry.

I rang the clutch place back, who'd found out the price of an original Ford flywheel, and low and behold, the price jumps from $850 to $1100.

NOT HAPPY JAN!
