Since getting the car, it hasnt had a single problem. So it came as a shock, that on Friday morning, the car had trouble changing gears ( EL, V8 Auto).
It's reving up to around 3 grand before shifting gears, and is staying in gears way to long. (FEELS LIKE IT HAS 4.11 DIFF GEARS LOL) Not having a dipstick for the gearbox (bring back the EF!!!), we couldnt check the fluid level, so Leah whipped it off to a local Transmission place. They said the gearbox was fine, but the oil was slightly low. They said that it appeared that the problem was something else, and not the transmission. They topped up the fluid, and said if the problem continues , its the TPS, and they cant fix that. Now, it lasted about half a day, and the problem came back. Am I right in thinking the TPS is the Throttle Position sensor ? I really want to hear other peoples opinion's on this. And if anyone has an Idea for me.!!! It needs to be fixed pretty quick, as Leah drives it to work everyday , and its chewing thru the fuel HEEH. Thanks heaps guys, Stevo
