Default Server Crash

Good afternoon

The server is now back up after a period of 28 hours.

Without going into massive detail about the issue it basically amounted to a server kernel failure that resulted in a corrupt installation.

This necessitated the installation of a new OS on a new RAID array and then a rebuild of the old array so that the data could then be copied back.

Consequently we have some new software sitting at the back end of the server which might potentially cause some issues over the next few days but we will address these as we go.

Some things are not fixed yet - the email server still has some bugs to be ironed out and some back end configuration still needs to be completed so there will likely be a few restarts of the apache server during the next 48 hours or so.

The data should be up to date as of the crash yesterday although the odd post might have got lost in the crash and it is probable that some user profiles will be corrupt as well. Just PM me if you have an issue within your profile.

Thanks to those who offered their assistance throughout this process.

Cheers
Russ
