Quote from the article: "Lined up against its rivals the GTS is an easy winner over anything from Ford Performance Vehicles, even the turbo I personally prefer over the V8 GT, and is a bargain against the class benchmark from Mercedes-Benz. It is also a car that looks like becoming an instant benchmark for Aussie muscle." Sounds like we have a new favourite Aussie muscle-car. While certainly not quicker than the F6 (0-100 took more than 5 seconds), I think the character of the car must've made quite an impression. I think this would be a fantastic car to drive, and commend HSV for doing a great job. My personal preference, though, is towards a subtle performance car: I'm not really an attention seeker, and the E2 GTS would only suit someone who is. Arguably most people are attention seekers, so they should sell well. |
