I have to say that its about time this law was brought in.
After being in NZ for the last year and a bit I fail to see how most people over here managed to get thier licence let alone think they can multitask while driving. I see the younger ones here in town driving around texting away while cruising the main street in their crap boxes, all of 16 years old so have no real driving experience as it is, car laoded up with mates, doof doof music blarring. No wonder they end up having accidents. The 1st thing I did when I got here was fitted my hands free kit to my car. As far as I am concerned if you are caught driving and texting they should take ya car and never give it back. |
