Default car missing at idle

gday guys, me car seams when its nice and hot when i stop at sme trafic lights etc it seams to idle a bit rough every now n then like every 5 seconds or so it kinda kicks around a bit like a power surge or smething my car is an auto ef i had the spark plugs replaces when it was serviced last week but my mechanic also said my leads were a bit dodgy but ran outa tme to replace em cos they seam to b in a bit of a buggr of a spot to change
