Hi Members,
As you would have read in our recent newsletter, the Bi-Annual FPV open day is on again this year. An info flyer has been attached to this email with full details. The committee has been working in with the other FPV/Tickford and XR clubs and have come up with the following activities. Please note that there is still one or two that we are trying to secure for the Friday. A brief rundown of the itinerary: • Wednesday 23rd February – Sail on the Spirit of Tasmania on the night sailing • Thursday 24th February – Arrive in Melbourne, book into the Hotel. Freshen up and join the FPV/Tickford club of NSW in a tour of the Ford factory at Broadmeadows. (please note that this event is for over 18 only) • Friday 25th February – Geelong Ford tour (subject to confirmation) Ford discovery centre, or member free day. • Saturday 26th February – Herrod Motorsport FPV Club Breakfast BBQ, $5pp. Afternoon of Car preparation in readiness for the FPV open day. This is also a free day for those not wanting to participate in car activities. • Sunday 27th February – FPV open day display – 7am – 3pm. Cars will be on display at the FPV factory, FPR and FPV factory tours will be operating all day. • Monday 28th February – Invite to a BBQ lunch at Bluepower performance workshop. Chance for members to visit DFO shopping outlets, Board the Spirit of Tasmania for the return sailing home. • Tuesday 1st March – Arrive back in Tasmania. End of Trip. Please note that you can choose to do as many or as little days as you feel fit. This is the full club itinerary, Members are encouraged to bring a vehicle over on the Spirit of Tasmania, however we do understand that this can be a costly exercise. Members that wish to fly over for the entire trip, or part thereof can ride with those members that are taking their cars over. Members wishing to fly over generally will be able to be collected from the airport, however anyone wishing to fly in early Sunday the 27th will have to make their own way to FPV as the club cars need to be onsite at FPV by 8am.
