Default Anyone using a MSD 7AL?? Question

Anyone using a MSD7AL or MAS7AL-2 ignition??
I have borrowed a 7AL-2 to try at Heathcote on the 11th. will run my normal ignition, then swap to the MSD to see if there is any difference in performance.
Only problem is the limiter chips are 6000, 6200, 6400 and 6600. I cross the line at 7000-7200 rpm.

Firstly, What happens when you dont have a limiter chip installed? Will it just have no limiter, or will it not work at all?

Secondly, If anyone has a 7000RPM or above chip and coming to Heathcote on the 11th, can I borrow it?????
