Righteo Ladies and Gents,
For the month of SEPTEMBER, We have organized another Skid Pan session @ RAC Driving Center and has been such a success last few times we say get in quick before all spots are gone, spots are open to Paid Members first if there is any spots left over then they will goto the general public. THE EVENT: This is an opportunity to bring your own car and drive it on the skidpan, These events are a lot of fun and very popular The 4 hour session starts with half an hour of theory on Performance Driving Techniques, including Vision, Seating posture, Cornering and Braking techniques, Smooth driving and Weight transfer. You then get to put it all into practice on Motorkhana style courses. There will be two fully experienced instructors in-car to provide performance tips and answer any questions. Date & Time: Session is booked for 10th September 2011 and will start at 12.30 and run for 4hrs Conditions: The numbers are restricted to a maximum of 16 drivers per session. It is open to those that have a roadworthy car, have modifications they want to try out or those who just want to improve their driving skills. No special competition license is required, just a normal drivers license which must be shown on the day, so this is your chance! Long sleeved shirt/long pants, closed in footwear, no loose objects in cars, have your tyres 4 – 5 psi higher than normal, and drivers must have an approved crash helmet (red A/S approved sticker) Cost: The cost will be $85 and must be paid if you are attending by no later then the 26th August 2011, this allows two weeks to pull out if you cannot make it, and allow someone else to take your place. Other Info: Spectators are more then welcome to come along and watch, take photos or videos, Unfortunately no passengers are allowed, we will see about having the Clubs BBQ there for a lunch time feed at no extra cost to participants. Please note that there is to be No Static Burnouts or Skylarking in general! Feel free to continue the expression of interest list as is seen later in the thread.
