Default BA Phone Connection

Hi guys,

After a quick bit of advice, I have a BA XR8 and having trouble with my mobile phone car kit.

It's plugged into the av plug, but when I connect the av lead the tel appears on the screen but that's it, no connection and can't turn it off or back to radio.

Has anyone had anything similar?

I was thinking a power issue as the phone doesn't charge, but can't seem to sort it out.

I also have an ASL iPod cable connected that plays but not charge, not sure if it's related.

Thanks.
