My last Canter with a 4.0 litre turbo diesel got 650 ks to a tank, fully loaded. It done 250,000ks without putting a spanner on it before trading it in on the newer one. The brand new Canter that has just come out has gone back to a 3 litre motor supposedly with more power and better economy.......
I love the Canters, but the 2012 model looks like it might be a step back. Gone soft like the Hinos.

The 2010-2011 6speed auto is fantastic, proper torque converter trans and it flys.
But 2012 model gets a dual clutch automated manual, hopefully its a alot better than other automated manuals that ive driven in commercial vehicles.

2012 engine has 110kw and only 370Nm, current engine has 110kw and 470Nm. 100nm torque loss is huge.

Brakes will only be single caliper front, and smaller wheels and tyres. But the tare weigh is around 300kg lighter
