What do members do in regard to insuring their vehicles when they do track days or drag racing?
I would assume none of the mainstream car insurance companies offer any kind of cover for these events? Is there a practical option for very occasional use - say 2-4 times a year? Do people just self insure - Ie. be careful and hope nobody else takes you out? I am comfortable with the risk at the drags for the most part, but what happens at a track if someone takes you out? If they have no insurance and are broke could you end up with a situation where you have to take them to court and they then end up paying you back over 10 years? |
