youve got more chance than most on here, even with no mining or equivalent trade experience but the main factor is you are getting off your butt and going to perth chasing work, half the blokes here sit in there lounge and say i want a FIFO job from melb/syd/bris with no experience and want 200K plus salary. good on you and you should find something easy enough, even if its just a start, everyone starts somewhere
