Default Fiesta 07 Cigarette Lighter Always On Fix?

Hi All,

I posted this over in the electrical forum a few days ago but I thought I would try it over here as well..

I have been doing some hunting around for some time on the subject of how to easily make the cigarette lighter only turn on when the ignition is switched to accessories or beyond. I have a bluetooth device that will just drain the battery if left in there and I am not interested in just unplugging it every time I get out of the car.

So.. with a bit of help from my multimeter I have found out that one of the 2 trailer towing module power supplies at the fuse box is only active when the ignition is on. My question to you all is can I just use this power and redirect it through a fuse to the cigarette lighter? Or is this not capable of running my 12v? I just dont want to draw too much from something if its only supposed to be small draw.. fire is bad!

Cheers!
