Twins "generally" come on boost sooner and stay alittle longer...
But there are so many variables these days its not funny.. Manufacterers try to have a linier power band and some of those single set ups on GTR's would be fairly big hit of power around 5000 rpm, they couldn't sell them new like that.. F1 and turbo's with tech these days they would be making 2000h.p and racing at 1500h.p..Thats with a 1500 engine also...Tech in engine management has changed that much..Single is generally less expensive..Twins maybe better on smaller capacity engine with high output? Compared to 4.0 doing it easy.. Besides I'd let the BMW engineers do there thing..Who are we to argue????
