I am 48 nest month and we didnt have these when I was a p plater, better times.

Go and see a lawyer, My brother got a good payout for loss of enjoyment of his Ford escort RS2000 when he was hit up the rear by an international driver, who he also suspects was on the phone - the car was a write off. He also got market value ($15k) for the car itself.
