Default our new MK1 2 door!

Hi Guys and Girls,

I thought id wonder down to the Cortina area of the forum. ive been building and playing around with an XB coupe for 27 odd years now and I have a 10 year old son who is an absolute car nut as well.
now, when yo have a car nut son, what do you do??
You buy a 2 door MK1 Cortina pre airflow for him!
as you have now guessed, he is all of 6 or 7 years away from being unleashed on society with a licence, so iv'e got 6 years to build him one of Australia's best MK1 Cortina show cars and hopefully give him some life skills while we do so..
The plans at this stage ( and they may change) are to use all the lessons we've learnt from my XB Coupe ( top 25 true street cars in the country as voted at summernats 30) and apply them to the corty. we are talking flawless body and gaps, highly detailed underbody and some tasteful mods.
a full custom interior and an awesome driveline are in the works.
Oh, and it needs to be street-able and registerable. no big block V8's here!

so, not knowing too much about Cortina's, any info or remarks on cool mods are welcome.
front suspension, rear suspension, driveline options.. I'm all ears.
if you were to build your ultimate Cortina, what would you want to do or see??

we have some great ideas, but I want to here from you.
Budget has (almost) no limit..
Go!!
