G'day Moderators. Can somebody please correct the pop-up glossary definition for 'Distributor'?
It currently reads; "In pre-EFI days, a distributor was a device in the ignition system of an engine that routed high voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plugs in the correct firing order." It should read; "A distributor was a device in the ignition system of an engine that routed high voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plugs in the correct firing order." EFI and distributors co-existed for a while. The Windsor V8 engines in the EB/ED/EF/EL Falcons had Multi Point Fuel Injection and Hall Effect / TFI distributors. I think that the last Cleveland V8 engines in the F100 ambulances also had Central Fuel Injection and distributors. |
