Hey everyone,
Firstly, a bit of background. I've got an AUIII XR6 VCT that recently had the speedo and odometer stop working, but otherwise was working well. I sent it off for overhaul and it's unsalvageable. :( I don't have my old one in my possession at the moment for testing purposes unfortunately. I bought a series 2 low spec cluster to test whether the issue was speed sender, wiring or cluster (the car is pretty highly modified) it and the speedo worked, but everything else was all over the shop. I've now picked up a series 2 XR6 cluster (couldn't find a series 3 one) and the speedo and odometer are working but the tacho has stopped, oil light is on, coolant temp light is on; but the coolant, oil pressure, volts and speedo are all working. So to my actual question, is there a wiring difference in the clusters between the series 2 and 3 that I needed to know about? Or am I likely going to be chasing deeper to find the issue? |
