Default Cortina TD s wheel

I see that the TD Cortina gets leather steering wheel std and option on others.

But XB Falcon or ZG Fairlane i can not see a leather steering wheel std or option, maybe LTD ? i wonder why not, is the Cortina s wheel full imported, i thought they were just like the Falcon s wheel.

Maybe the early Cortina's had a more deeper s wheel offset like coming out from the mounting point ?

And Australia was not into leather steering wheels back then, i hated them slippery old plastic type steering wheels as my hands were so hard from working with cement all day long.

Now i have a leather s wheel but it's such thin total rubbish that they call leather and it was buggered at 50,000KM i think i ran a pizza box across it getting out and that cut it through. so be careful !

My VY Commodore SS wheel was fine after 13 years.

What's it cost to re do a wheel in good leather ? not to mention back in the days 1975 etc it would of stung ya to do such ?
