Default Ford Mondeo MD Transmission Fault

Hey everyone,

Just want to get some opinions on a strange situation that I have recently experienced.

My 2016 Ford Mondeo MD Diesel went in for a transmission service for oil and filter change at a highly recommended transmission shop in Melbourne. There was a known slight leak from the transmission which I was advised had only lost a very small amount (50ml) over 40,000km.

I have since received the car back and the transmission seemed to be slipping or missing gear changes which I thought might be down to a battery disconnect and the transmission requiring to relearn shift patterns.

Have the car back for 3 days, the vehicle flashed a "transmission limited operation" warning which was followed by a "transmission fault" warning with total loss of engine power.

After I restarted the vehicle, car seemed to be shift fairly normal which I took back to the transmission shop straight away. They scanned the computer to tell me it is common for the EGR to fail or get blocked and cause a transmission fault and strange shifting behaviours.

I decided as most of my driving is city, to give it a highway run to doing a DPF regen to potentially improve the situation. It seemed after the highway run, the gearbox seemed to be shifting far better and like normal before the service. Unfortunately, later that day, I get a thud from the transmission followed by a "limited operation" warning.

After taking the vehicle home and scanning it using forscan, I have logged a code, P0766 -Shift Solenoid 'D' Performance/Stuck Off.

At this point I've booked it into Ford for diagnoses although just looking to see if anyone else has experience something similar.

Cheers
