Bad sound editing, some scenes of normal dialogue are muted and blurry, turn up the volume, next scene, verbal BOOM, turn it down .... Argghhhh, f***.
If a show is in strong 'Merican or northern British Isles accents ...... turn it off as I just don't understand what they are saying.
