Vindication...belated...but vindication nevertheless

A Supreme Court judge has ordered the release of a farmer who killed a gangster who had terrorised his family in the NSW central west.

Justice Michael Adams, at a sentencing hearing in the NSW Supreme Court in Orange, questioned whether the man, Timothy John Nam, should have been charged at all.

Justice Adams said the case was one of the most troubling he had ever heard and that Nam barely deserved even the downgraded manslaughter charge to which he had pleaded guilty.

Its never a good thing when a human being is killed...but good to see a judge for once use common sense and realize this person acted violently as a last resort, and only because of police apathy.
