Default No cat converter

hey guys i got my exhaust done last weekend and then got the wildcat extractors put on the van yesterday. while the mechanic was doin it he noticed the cat converter was shagged well and truely. i think you can guess where it went after that, and i was wondering will it affect the performace of the car running no cat?
