Default Pod filter or Pannel Filter??

ok just wondering what peoples thoughts are about pod filters and pannel filters.
for instance:

1. pod filters are better because...
2. pannel filters are better because...
3. dosent matter as they both do the same thing...

pretty much what people think are better and why they think this.

cheers
braden
