Smile ea dizzy querys

Someone told me that a the dizzy from the ea has to be changed over when puting another engine in
and also the computer too is that true?
Does a ea engine been replaced have to have the dizzy that it came with or the
dizzy that was already on the car?

who ever told you that is so far wrong unless they are thinking of CFI.

A CFI dizzy has to be changed for a MPFI dizzy and the computer changed if you are doing an MPFI conversion.

Otherwise any MPFI dizzy from an EA, EB, ED or EL will work in any EA, EB, ED, EF, EL or AU engine without any drama and using the EA computer too.

In short just use your dizzy and computer in the new engine.

^^correct^^the engine don't care what ecu you have or dizzy(except cfi to mpfi)so long as it gets its gogo juice and sparkies fireing it's happy,,but if you replace the 3.9 with a 4 litre i would recommend useing the 4 litre ecu,,but in saying that the ecu from a 3.9 will run a 4 litre with not many probs..

The vanes on the inner sensor are different from MP to CFI. The MP has one vane smaller than the rest, to signify #1 cylinder for the injection. That is the only difference.
