Default Dev 5 and ported head installed...

A few weeks ago we took the head off my brothers car and got it recoed and and exhaust port enlarged to the size of the extractors and the inlet cleaned up. The combustion chamber wasn't touched.
We just finished installing the dev5 cam last night, dialed in and shimed up.

It starts picking up at 3500 and it keeps pulling all the way to redline. It breaks traction in 1st(5spd manual). It runs fine on the standard forte ECU. Its gonna get dynoed soon to check the mixtures and KWs and tuned in a few weeks.

The reason we went with JMM is that there wasn't much choice with the shortage of billets for the AUs.

After the LSD is re-done we will take it to calder to see what it does. The car ran 15.09 last time when it was stock with just the LSD and 3.73 gears, now it has a full exhaust, head and cam. so hopefully a low 14 or fingers crossed a 13.99, hahaha.

Thanks JosesAu, it was off the road for about 4 weeks doing a few things like water pump, radiator and hoses. We did all the work outselves.

I guess you get what you pay for, R&D.

I am having issues with my crow cam as well, its making the car run a little rich but still goes good.

yeah my car was runnuning very rich, i rang em and told em, 2522, the car went better with the crow cam in it compared to now how it is with the stock cam back in, if it had of been tuned it problly would of went even harder than it did which makes me think i should get a chip.

I ran one in my XR6 (manual) both with standard ecu and then tuned with the Unichip. It ran ok but the tune really sharpened everything up.
