greetings ford heads
could any of you gurus tell me or point me in the right direction to find out what the gap setting is for my cheap but very reliable '82 1.5 ford laser. i purchased a set of feeler gauges from auto one but at the time nobody in the shop could enlighten me as to the gap setting for me laser. many thanks i have a ka |

might have to wait till vippin the guru answers
I would first see what the gap is on the old set before adjusting or fitting the new set then a guess allowing for wear and pitting of the old set till you get the answer

thanks for your reply and thanks for the tip but... sadly i had already taken out the old set (without taking any note) and put in the new. some one told me the gap should be about the thickness of the cardboad from a weetbix packet??? i used a nutrigrain packet...! maybe thats my problem? its just that my ka is running alittle hairy at the moment and i am putting it down to incorrect point setting, as thats the last thing i changed (about 3 weeks ago). cheeeeers |
