I've done exactly the same thing. My falcon 's' will go about 65km past 0 dte, my xr8 will go about 40km past 0 dte.

The funny thing with ours was that it was on the way out the Inlaws out near Bathurst while travelling.
And the Mrs was never really under 100km/h, she was even suprised when she caught herself speeding a few times.

So she wasnt exactly driving like she wasn't "Driving Miss Daisey" :P LOL

Lucky yours reads correctly ... mine had a DTE of 200 ... and I ran out of gas.
Although my trip back from Melbourne I managed 780km from 84L of LPG.
Cost me $42 one way ... not bad at all. And I had the ute loaded up as well.

WHOA^ yeh i get my dte to read bit over 700 when im out country driving. i was 270 away from a petrol station and my dte read 265 so i puttered along between 90 & 100 and it ended up going about 20ks over my distance to the petrol station if that makes sense! but in the city im prob round 20l/100kms cos i thrash the guts out of it on my week of!

Yeah funny that, LOL.
When we were actually away a few days and covered a lot of kms, freeway and country roads.

I drove it to work and back and it dropped to just over 500kms before i got home.
The work round trip is about 65kms and now lots of lights in between with the Windsor Rd upgrade

i have the fairmont ... and i HATE all that beeping when there's 80k'z to go ... then it starts up agian on 40, then 20 ARGH!!! ....

I can't hear the beeping over the exhaust ... or the stereo for that matter
Since the cam went in ... the ute is a tad thirstier ... but nothing too bad.

Although the best range I get doing courier work at the moment is about 450km from 90L of gas ... mind you ... the rear suspension in the ute is maxed out and the bump stops are rubbing the top of the axle housing Ooops.

And the amount of work I am doing ... that 450km is just one days driving ... and that's Sydney metro ONLY ... that's a LOT of solid traffic driving.
