Default Tool of the year award 2007

I would just like to say that my boss who it would appear is from the 1950's and is still happily living his life of dilusion from there, MUST surely be voted TOOL OF THE YEAR 2007.

Reasons he is a tool:

* Made me work on the weekend of Echuca because he couldn't let me have a day off without him giving me a dose of his advise on what a bunch of low life's v8 drivers are!
* Anyone who drives a car with more than 4 cyls is obviously a "speed freak, lead foot or has no sense of values"
* No one works as hard or as good as him.
* He constantly wants to fire all the staff he has at the drop of a hat because they have taken 1 minute longer on there lunch break or are having a laugh and didn't include him!
* No staff can use the internet for personal use (Cop this...I AM ON FORD FORUMS TOOL!!!)
* Hates his staff to have a lunch break if he can't -( ummm...I thought being the boss entitled you to going for a "business lunch' - 3 hour min at the pub)
* If you smoke, obviously you have no self respect - and he tells me this everyday! - filthy habit and not one for a lady!

And my personal favourite - Woman should be seen and not heard. Whenever someone is in the office for a meeting I am to go and "fetch" the coffee and be a good girl! Jerk! I have a uni degree and it ain't in making coffee.

My boss is definately....TOOL OF THE YEAR!!

everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
as for the computer, its company property, not yours.
the boss can tell you that you cant use it for personal use.
he can also fire you on the spot if you do use it for personal use too.

Yes I understand it is his property. He doesn't like the computer. Too new age for him. He doesn't even use the computer. He hand writes everything and then gets one of us Girls to type it. Heaven forbid he should ask one of the guys in the office and all the girls have to call him by his last name and all the guys get to call him by his first! . Sorry I am just venting...having the day from hell!

When you make him a coffee, put some additives in it...

Sounds like an old jerk. Some people you cannot tell otherwise. Sounds like a good job to leave.

Sounds like my boss a little bit, well the not using a computer and getting the receptionist to type hand written letters. He wouldn't know about the internet usage, he's not computer literate. The CEO (his middle aged son, nice guy) does though..

Both the big boss's and CEO's company cars are turbo Terrys so he's not against fast cars, and he's 79!

I hear you Gees Louise.....boy do I hear you.

I'm having a bit of a year from hell. My list of gripes is long and boring reading for FF except to say that promised words have not turned into actions...and the response you get when you ask why is shrugged shoulders.

I have communicated this all to my boss who said "Sure you have every right to feel like screwed over like you do...but get over it".

So I'm getting over it by moving on to greener pastures.

Easy solved , stress leave, he stresses you, he has to pay workers comp, he will then leave you alone, if he does it again stress leave again and so it goes.

For a moment when i read the title, i thought finally i have won an award. Maybe next time.

Only comment is, it's your life, you choose to stay or choose to leave, but you can't blame other for your choice or the resulting outcomes of your choice.

I know exactly what you mean, i quit my job today, in radio because the guy who does the rosters took me off....
He's shitty because i was talking about my missus to him...
Complicated story though.
So i just went in while he was on air, threw my door key at him and said "im outta here" plus a few other things, but this is a family-friendly forum.

I like the coffee suggestion. When I was a first year apprentice (aka slave) sometimes I would end up being told to get all the guys in the offices coffee's and tea's. I couldnt bring myself to spit in them but I never cleaned the cup first. Once the Service Manager made a comment along the lines of "no wonder your girlfriend dumped you - you can't make a cup of tea for quids" and then laughed at his own joke....yep, top bloke.

Is getting stress leave that simple? I have been stressed out for most of this year due to the actions of ignorant twits and their stupid decisions....
