hey all my rear transmission seal in my au2 forte is stuffed and ive been qouted 130 to replace by a mechanic.
Is this a good price? or do ford do better, cause i know ford dont usualy do better prices. hwere is the best place to usually go to get it done? cheers

I would go to a trans specialist, that sounds about what I got mine done for.

sweet thanks for the info, ill most probs go to a trans specialist then, as long as others are getting it for 130 thats good then too.

Mate be sure to check the rear bush,they are usually worn hence causing the seal to leak.

they are pretty easy to do around 1/2 hr labour plus the seal is all id pay...make sure they use a genuine ford seal they are better (have a tripple edge rubber on them) also check that the extension housing gasket isnt leaking as well.....with a seal gasket and bush youd be lookn at around 1 to 2 hrs labour no more and parts
