Gold Coast All Ford Day

When: 14th October 2007
Where: Carrara Parklands - beside Carrara Football Stadium (Exit 71 on M1)
Time: Show from 10am until 3pm
Vehicle entry from 8.30am until 10am
Trophy Presentation 3pm

I would like to take this opportunity to extend an invitation for you all to be a part of the 2nd Annual Gold Coast All Ford Day. The day is to be held on the 14th October 2007 at The Parkland area situated at Carrara Football Stadium, Carrara Qld. We are holding the event one week prior to the Gold Coast Indy Race to capitalise on the exposure at such time.

It will be a family fun day. We have support of several firms involved in the motor sport community, the local police and other charitable organizations.

This event as the name suggests is only open strictly to Fords or Ford powered cars. Last year we had 160 vehicles in attendance, including members from various clubs, Several notable Fords including, Bowden's, Redcliffe Dyno, Herrods. We had displays by both Ford Performance Racing and Ford Performance Vehicles and The Stone Bros Simulator.

This year, we have coverage by Performance Fords magazine, sponsorship by Ford Forums, Meguires and Shannons, commitment from Ford again and DJR/SBR/FPR.

Starlight Foundation Charity Auction Dinner

You have also been invited to attend the Starlight Foundation Charity Auction Dinner hosted by the FPV & XR Owners Club of QLD

Date: Saturday 13 October

Time: 6.00pm for 6.30pm
Auction starts at 8.00pm

Venue: The Beach House Pub
Upstairs function room
3206 Surfers Paradise Blvd, Surfers Paradise

Cost: $60 per head OR
$550 per table of 10
(Deposit – single $20.00 and table $100.00 with balance to be paid on night).

Dress: Smart Casual

Can this please be made as a sticky. I should be ok to join in the show this year, depending on a couple of things. 1. If I am still driving a Ford, 2. If I have to play a gig that day (can get random at times). Maybe the band could play on the day? But there will probably be noise restrictions, (then again, Laminges AU, damnnnn).

It wil be next to the stadium, by the river side and the trees, Great spot.

Good news, give me a call at some stage, I can come up to see you about the bits and pieces that we have spoken of. May even have something done by the show? Just got the Tacho in today so thats a start.

Count me in guys. If all goes to plan, I should be in QLD for this event, and would be very keen to be apart of any AU Falcon display.

Yeah sorry havnt been in contact yet sledgehammer ive been flat out with work and planning my holiday i get back the weekend before the show so it should be good. I always miss driving the xr8 when i go away :(

Yeah sledge you could do an AU section is yours going to be there? I can get a car trailer for free if you want to tak it down and dont want to drive it!!

mine may not be the best lookin au but hell yes i will be there. i missed the cruise day due to a broken leg so hopefully i won't miss this one

we will have trophies for those who would like to enter their cars to be judged, (had 3 show judges last year) or you can just come along and display for the day.

it sounds like fun! i have an AU so it would be nice to show it off in all of its stock glory lol. ive actually wanted to become a member of AUfalcon.com for a while now, will there be facilities for signing up? and do i have to be a member to bring my AU along? and getting one of those cool aufalcon.com stickers would be great lol

I've wanted to know the same thing... i post up in this section a bit lately, but as far as i know, i am not official or anything...

As to the All Ford Day... already planning on going up there with a few friends from another forum.

If you would like to organise a aufalcon.com spot, please let me know how many cars etc so I can arrange to place in the same spot.

Their is a trophy for Best AU.

Well i was disappointed i didnt see any clearly marked AFF cars there... This has gotten me energetic to start making shirts for my other forum and want to merge the shirt with both sets of logo's, URLS etc... I also want to get some advertising on my cars for them... just so we are seen more, and can find other members easier.
