Can anyone tell me if there is a copyright issue with the CD player in the 2002 Ford Falcon Series III SR. Seem to be able to play certain cds but am unable to play copied discs....if there is a copyright issue is there a way round it

Try burning them on a slower speed that should help

Also perhaps try some different media, could be funny towards certain brands of blank disc.
Have you tried playing the "backups" in any other CD Player - if the optical lens in your burner is on its way out it could just be cooking up coasters, or discs that are VERY tempramental. I remember one disc in particular, cooked just before I replaced the burner, would play sometimes and other times you could sit there for an hour putting it in and ejecting it with no effect at all.

Yeah they are pretty dodgy Cd players, mine dislikes copied CD's but will handle them, it hates anything scratched and for some reason hates some of my good clean stratch free cds as well.

You can buy an adapter of sorts, I'm sure someone will remember the site.

Mine has the same problem, sometimes it plays burnt cds and sometimes it doesn't. I just put it down to a dirty laser and was going to try cleaning it but now I'm just going to change the player all together.

Do a seacrh on the steering wheel controls. I think the brand was Stinger.
