Hi, new to this site and just wondering... Ive put in a new alpine system in my car recently and just today when i drive it makes a very high pitched noise going in sync with the revs. I was wondering if it was sound related or engine related. My mate told me it was the power steering fluid that caused this?! im not sure. Any help would be great. Thanks!

If you are getting a high pitch noise through the speakers, then it is electrical. Last time I looked power steering wasn't electrical....You need to check connections, things like ign leads are obvious culprits....

You just need to put a filter or feret on the power lines to the power going to the stereo and amp.

You are getting interference/noise from your alternator. As au3 chaser said, whack a filter on your power cables.
