Default TS50 Rollover

Its amazing what you find when your googling...

Im not sure if it was a Forum Member or not.

From: http://www.car-accidents.com/pages/a...y/2-27-04.html

Quote:
The car is (was) an Australian Ford Falcon TS50. While traveling at extremely high speed a large truck cut the driver off while taking a left turn across his path. He swerved sharply to avoid a collision and the car careened into a ditch and flipped, causing extensive damage to the vehicle. The driver walked away, completely unscathed but somewhat shaken and disturbed by the experience. He, of course, also lost a nice sporting machine.

ouch. That was a nice car. I bet the fella regretted his actions later. Lucky to walk away from that one methinks. I dont think I've ever seen that much damage done to an AU, much less the mighty T lol

Probably couldn't salvage anything off it either to recoup his loss.

Come on Peuty, there's heaps to salvage. I can at least see two rims and tyres, one rear lens, the petrol filler flap and perhaps even one headlight. LOL!

What a mess!

So I'm guessing you bought it for the interior? LOL! Has the transplant taken place?

If so, do you have before and after pics?

Make sure you get the before and after pics. Most people are sooooo excited with what the job will look like after they finish, that they forget the before pics! LOL!

Cheers,

The rumor I believe is correct. A mate once sent me these pics and told me that it is someone he works with. The car was uninsured. Not sure as to the reasons why, but it's one hell of a nasty mess.

lol. small world.

The car was transported by Straightline for only a small fee as a favor on behalf of the company I work for. You guys did a great job.

I was in for a bit of a shock when I saw it for the first time on the back of the tow truck. Not one single panel is straight and the chassis members were all bent. However, I was never going to repair the car so it didn't matter too much.

Thanks for taking care of it.

its going into a T1 TE50.

Swapping the interior over and keeping the engine/gearbox as spare for when I do some serious work to the engine next year.

This is a very creative way of saying the this tool tried to overtake a turning heavy vehicle, which is against the law and a pretty stupid thing to do. The result here is a great example of what can happen.
