Are you after a performance build, or just a rebuild to stock specs - if the latter, just get a second hand motor from a wreckers for around $500 or so. If the former, then how big is your bank balance/credit card?

What he said . because the Falcon I6 is so reliable the wreckers have heaps of then making them cheap I recently picked up an AU6 for a friend to put in his cab the engine had 72 000Ks on it and he paid $400 for it

if you are looking at a performance build it would depend what you are looking to acheive but expect to pay $$$$$$$ for a good fire breather

From someone who actually is going to give you a straight answer to a straight question.

For stock specs. All gaskets $260, piston work, valves, rings and big end bearings $1200, oils, sealers and inhibitor $60, head bolts $38, Labour $1000, GST $250.

All up around $3000. If you need you block bored out and then slightly larger piston add $1000

If he wanted to know how much it was to get an engine from the wreckers he would have titled the thread "How much is a second hand engine from the wreckers"

What a rude individual you are! if you were intelligent enough to read the replies properly you would have noticed we asked what his intentions are and offered a viable cost saving option to an expensive rebuild providing he was not after a high performance option. People are often unaware of how cheaply you can get a good low K Falcon engine and we were providing this valuable information.

If we had received a reply that a performance rebuild was required more info on this would have been provided but you had to come in with a rude arrogant abusive post because you have no manners and no idea of how the behave in a civilised forum. I have seen rude condescending posts by you insulting well intentioned answers from members who answered you incorrectly because you were too inarticulate to ask the properly.
this member is new here and to see someone as rude and arrogant as you would give him a poor impression of the forum. If you are unable to post in a civilised manner I suggest you refrain from posting at all

When you do, come back here and let us know how you went with some prices, and we'll let you know if they are good/bad/indifferent.

The HTML tags only came up when i 'quoted' you

Ok, i'll say it SLOWLY for you

You were telling off someone for saying something which may seem 'rude' or 'arrogant' to a new member here, when in fact you did it yourself to some new member who typed like he was sms'ing.

Think a little before the nerve impulses jump a synaptic cleft my friend :
