as long as its the middle of the night, and i have nothing better to do, one more post:
most of the independant fuel stations are now doing much better discounts than the big guys anyway. for instance, if you buy or sell a house through a particular real estate here, and take your receipt to one of the fuel stations, they give you up to 100c/L off, basically a free tank of fuel, other companies give you 10-50c off etc, depending what you buy, and where from

insurance company is the best bet here, others are really car related or would benifet dramatically off, everyone has insurance. (HOPEFULLY) not everyone likes tea, or hangs out at coles/woolies, hj or maccas maybe hehe, but insurance is the best here. no matter of age, u have a decent size bill waiting

Has anyone keen for these mega discounts thought up a possible perceived advantages would exist for the supposed sponsors/benefactors?

I'm interested to hear what you people think.

For a supermarket?

For an insurer?

For Rotton Ronnies?

For an Oil Company?

etc?

Even though *none* of these things will ever happen, my two cents worth:

10% supermarket discount will provide far and away the best deal. 4c/L off fuel? Um. When I go to coles and get my 10% off, I'll be getting a 4cL discount on fuel as well. Thats a two for one. I have grave concerns for anyone who picked the 4c/L fuel discount over the 10% off groceries .

Exclamation insurance

Why pick insurance? Admittedly 10 years ago when i bought my SVO, I did have a rating 1,but i still had to pay $1200.00 a year for the car, and i did think WTF? However since i drive responsibly and have not made any claims i only pay $336.00. Now which panel beater can you go to and have work done and the price has come down.
If you are 18,19,20, your insurance for your little pride and joy is sky high, what if you have an accident, how much is your access, and doesnt this put your payment up the next year. What i am trying to get at pay what they are asking, drive responsably the insurance will come down, and if you do have an accident then, if the paint and panel are cheaper you are more likely to be able to fix it out of your own pocket, and not affect your unblemished rating.

Paint & Panel - I want to sponsor the site ASAP.
This place is so superior to the original forum and my #1 ford forum.

This is what it should be about! (More) sponsorship from car-related businesses!

Their benefits:
Increased exposure thru advertising on sites where customer potential is higher.
Said customers more likely to visit said sponsors shops and fork out their $$$ there.

Fordforums admin/site benefits:
$$$ and other kinds of support to keep the site in good health.

Fordforums members benefits:
Possible discounts on products ("mention FordForums.com.au when purchasing a <insert product name or range here> this month and save 10%!")

3-way win! I know the idea is hardly new, but just thought I'd make it plain & clear to others reading this thread who haven't really thought about this before. Be they members or potential sponsors.
