Default BTR Differences

Just a Question, What are the differences between the V8 and the I6 BTR? The one in my barge is stuffed, I've got a S2 XR8 motor and tranny sitting in my shed, can I use the tranny to bolt up to my I6 engine or what bneeds to be changed over so it can be utilized.

Cheers..

I can't answer that for an au but i know years ago my brother and me replaced a c4 in an xd (v8 box into 6) and the only thing that had to be changed was the torque converter. If that helps at all.

you have to swap the 6 cylinder bellhousing onto the v8 box use the 6 cyl converter and the v8 tailshaft as the output shaft and therefore extension housing on the v8 box is longer so its not really worth while

Is the extension housing cast on the gearbox or bolted on? is the tailshaft the same length?
