The drivers side mirror seems to be shaking a bit while the car is idle and also while driving. It gets rather annoying especially when driving down the freeway. How do I go about tightening the mirror so it doesn't shake?

from memory its a spring inside the mirror housing that holds the mirror still(because of how its mounted to allow it to move with electric motor etc)
this spring tires and stretches and becomes useless... they dont stay tight for all that long either sadly.. just pull the mirror apart and you will find it

do you mean just the mirror or the whole encasing?
one time my mirror was shaking lots at idle. Just gave it a push around with my hand, problem solved.

The actual mirror moves. If it is the spring, where do I get a new one from? SuperCheap?

Mine does it ... even after getting the entire mirror housing replaced ... so I am going to do a bit of modifying.
I am going to get some thick foam off-cuts ... and I am going to stuff it in behind the mirror to stop the wobbling/vibration. Will see how that goes.

I was thinking that ... but if you need to adjust it ... with the "space-invader" foam it won't allow mirror adjustment (well that's just my thoughts ... hee hee).
