Default driver side electric window slow going up..

just noticed on thr car today (au3 sr) that the drivers electric window goes up really slowly, especially when it gets to about half way up. it seems like the battery is dying, but it also happens when the car is running.

any ideas? hopefully nothing major

Buy a can of silicone spray, and spray up the window channels. 9 times out of 10, that'll solve slow window problems.

I used to use graphite powder, and while it did a great job, I find it a little messy, and very hard to clean off door rubbers.

yep silicone spray is the way to go, spray on then put the window up and down a few times. Not a bad idea to do the windows every couple of weeks.

i'll get around to it, same as fixing the dash rattle, and replacing the light globe in the clock (bah, thats the most annoying one and i only think of it at night.)

Dont need to take the door panels off, just spray up the channels where the window follows the rubbers. I use a small piece of foam sideways, and silicone it, and rub it up a couple f times, works for about 6 months.

I used to silicone them, but it used to make the windows filthy with this black rubbish along where they ran in the channels, and I didn't want to wreck my tint. It's a bit of a battle of two evils really.
