Default Club display at Formula 1 GP, Albert Park

Hi Guys,

Your club committee has been busy my friends....

I'm stoked to announce we have a display area for 20 cars at this years' Formula 1 GrandPrix. :

I should have all the details tonight, so stay tuned. Your cars will need to stay on site for the duration.

Cheers,

GBG

Okay,

So we have 20 spots available to current club members. All cars must be registered (no race cars) and no advertising on them.

* Your car must be there on Wednesday afternoon no later than 3pm.
* You will get your credentials (hard card that will have photo ID on it) then- before entering the track. You will receive two credentials for the weekend.
* You cannot move your car until 1 hour prior to race completion.
* All cars will be roped off
* There is roving security

You must email me ASAP. Whilst we welcome all members, I'd love to see a couple of older cars there as well as the new ones.... Each vehicle owner and their guest will be required to supply a passport size, digital headshot to be printed on the credential. If you don't have one I can take one at the Feb meeting.

Also, please understand if you pull out prior you do not get you passes, and we cannot fill it with someone else (except for the Van Gameron twins!) unless you look a heck of a lot like them. So, if you are unsure, do not enter.

So, get cracking and email me - there's only 20 spots...... :

Could I reverse in so that nobody sees that the front of the car is missing?

Hi David,

Yes you most definitely do have to be a club member, but more importantly, the display is full - it took all of about .... 48 hrs.

Black TE50 - long time no speak!

Cheers,

Thanks GBG and GRNKPR.

I'm kind of back in the land of the living. I even have a job where they - wait for it - are going to actually PAY me to take 4 weeks holiday EVERY year! How long has this been going on for? GRNKPR you really need to get onto this.....

I'd really like to catch up - I'll try to get to the March meeting.

Still under pressue from the Minister for War & Finance to sell the TE, but I'm trying to hang out to see if I can keep it AND the house. The longer I keep it in the garage without a front, the better the chances. It's a waste of time trying to sell a damaged car.......

BTW, if GRNKPR is willing to pull his toy out for a play, I'll stand around and wave a flag at it. Is it a deal?

Roll In

Well after a little confusion about passes for ALL the clubs (I think they said hundreds of cars in total), we finally got in. Once parked, we all headed through the V8 compund, and wandered up past the pits! For most poeple this is something you NEVER normally get the chance to do..........
Heading out and the HSV boys still hadn't got their act together and made it in yet (they are opposite us outside the V8 compound to promote the Ford vs Holden races, whilst there are plenty of other beautiful pieces of machinery to look at as well along the lake's edge)

It's a hard life for some.......................
