Hi
I just bought a low k's auII bog stock Futura. I've been looking at doing some cheap but useful mods to it. I have read a few posts that talk of changing the standard AU intake snorkel for a tickford. Do they mean the XR6 or XR8? I rang Ford & they say the tickford XR6 snorkel is the same as the standard one (same part no.) but the XR8 is different? Will BA-BF XR6 wheels bolt straight on to an AU without any mods? Cheers |

Johnno,
You want the AU XR8 or BA XR6 turbo snorkle.....they are the same thing (XR8 one has the tickford wings on them, they are more expensive as well) Yes, wheels from BA, BF and FG are all a straight swap onto an AU without any mods. Wheels from cars prior to AU (E-Series and earlier), will not fit on unless you have wheel spacers, which for some reason are legal to buy, but not legal to fit on your car!!! Good luck with it mate, let us know how it goes! Dave

You cant run E series with spacers, its the E series that run spacers to have AU on rims, just to clear the air.

.....which is exactly why you just want the BA XR6t snorkle.....exactly the same, just no wings.....it's not like anybody can see it anyway when the bonnet is down!!!
