Dont thrash the sh*t out of it. lol

In all seriousness it depends what type of car you're talking about.I think the less common cars hold their value more then cars that that you see all the time.

E.g VLs do not hold their value very well cause so many people have them and you can pick up a decent one for about $4000.

Mate, it could be to the right buyer, but generally its minimal difference in sale price, mainly due to the fact that there are so many of them about, and you can still buy new...

Check the paper, trading-post and internet car sale sites and make a judgement based upon what other cars like yours are going for. I dont think added extras add much more to a cars value, only slightly. But sunroofs and leather can put people of when looking for a car.

This is the most accurate way.
Glass's guide, Red book, etc. Are just guides, not bibles.

Also don't be bias, alot of people think their car is worthmore because they own it! Look at it from a buyer perspective.

Generally speaking, if yours is better equipped and in better condition than others of the same vintage for sale, then advertise it for the SAME price as them. That will get you a sale.

The way things are heading. Use the Redbook value, take the lowest amount and take out another $2000-$3000! It's sad but true.
