Hey guys just got some new 6x9's and i am just about to purchase new 6inch's for the front. I am gettin an amp to run the 6x9's but im sketchy on how to wire it up???Just curious what everyone else has done when wiring their amps??I am getting a 4 channel 1000w. Cheers for any advice and if there is a guide somewhere id love to see it.

run the power from battery, through the fire wall behing glove box, push out the plug to fit cable through. make sure the fuse is as close to the battery as posible

wire under the side plastic scirts, then under the back seat to the amp. amp is earthed to the back bit of metal near the boot latch

Hey guys sorry to have to bring this up again : and you can scrap what i

posted before lol the plan has changed :hihi: . I just bought a 12 inch pioneer 800w

sub for the fez and now im on the hunt for an amp. The guy at the audio

store said he will take some off the price of the amp(about 100) cos i

bought the sub from him. I am tossing up between 3 possible amps,

kenwood, fusion and boss. I had planned on the cheap $180 4 channel 1000w

boss amp doing the job?? But for 350 (with discount) the kenwood and fusion

come with a sub controller which will be handy as i have the standard

headunit. Both are same size as the boss but better brands i suspected?? I

would really appreciate some advice on which amp would be good, if the boss

will do the job than thats great lol. Thanx for any advice guys :

I would recommend heading over to jaycar for amps. There new range is very good and well prcies. Unless you spend alot more money on and amp the jaycar will be the better one to buy.

I would get there top 4channel one, run the front splits amped and bridge the sub.

i have the jaycar 4ch, well the old response one with a genuin 150 wrms bridged to 1 chl with cross overs high and low pass plus another 2 chanels for speakers if i want.


out of the 3 you chose boss no way every cheep nasty crap
fusion is an ok brand not sure about there amps and same with kenwood but def one of those two

hmm not sure if there is a jaycar here i will have to investigate that, thanx for the advice i dont know what im gonna do lol.

just a quick one if someone could plz help me i have most of the dash off trying to get the head unit out to have a look at it but i am stuck for what to do with the a/c buttons, and the dials down the botom, how do u get these off?? thanx everyone

Ummm... its been a while since I had mine off, but I think I left them on, just detached the cables from the back, and worked around them, dont forget to reconnect them, I had hot air blowing on my feet for two days before I remembered. (yes I know, my wife already called me that.....)

ok well now i have solved the a/c button dilemma but i still cant get the actual head unit itself out!!it looks as though it is hooked up to a bracket at the very back which i can see but cant get to with hands. what do i do..anybody??sorry to keep hassling everyone bout this.

rip it untill something breaks, or look for the screws holding it in

no worries now got it all out and since there are no rca pre outs looks likes i will be wiring my amp in high output for now until i get a new head unit..thanx again for all thew help i shall post again when its all done and pounding

I picked up a speaker level to RCA adapter for 20 bucks, not the best solution, but does the job

ok its all done and tidied up and very impressive, just have to get etter front speakers as the bass over power it a little. i got that adapter bear for 30 unfortunately lol, all up the setup cost 380 so i was pretty happy.cheers everyone again i shall get pics when i finish making the bracket to mount my amp
