As a first move, why don't you go to "The Citizens Advice Bureau"?
It's staffed by retired legal people and it's free. |

Try ringing The Law Institute.
http://www.liv.asn.au/Referral.aspx Tell them about your problem and they値l give you a referral letter to see one of three solicitors that are close to you. The first half hour is free with the letter. You have SFA information in your profile. What suburb are you in?

Thanks for the info guys, updated my address at least, sort of had to move on legal quite quickly for a friend for reasons best left out of here. But as usual any help is good help.
