Default Speedo Error

Has anyone checked the accuracy of their speedo?
I have just returned from a highway run and using the RTA Odometer check points, I timed how long it took to travel over the set distance using cruise.
At an indicated 118kph, I was doing 112.6kph which is a fair way out. I have done this a few times and it is always the same so at least it is consistent. I am running standard tyres on a 2000 Forte.

yes i would agree the ford speedo seem to read fast on average.

tested mine and on cruise 100k on the speedo timed by the markers was a real 96k.

So my speedo was 4% fast.

My AU2 Fairlane does the following:

60km/h = 56km/h (I drive at 65 indicated)
100km/h = 94 km/h (I drive at 105 indicated)
110 = 101 km/h (I drive at 120 indicated)
