Hi All.
A friend's Au2 Futura sedan has the chrome inserts on the bumpers and door strips. IMO they jazz up the car nicely and I'm wondering what the part number and cost would be for them. They look as though they'd be a double sided tape set up and go in the grooves that are standard on the door strips. That's right isn't it? Also, I've got a wagon and I'm not sure I've seen a wagon with them. Are they available for the wagon rear bumper? Were they available on the Fairmont wagon? Anyone help here. GK |

Its easy enough to do with the generic chrome strips you can buy from any good auto parts shop and much cheaper than ford of course.
I have done my wagon as you can see in the gallery http://www.fordforums.com.au/photos/...cat=500&page=1 The wagon rear bar is hard though. You have to sort of do a bit of it as it follows on from the sides. The raer itself looks odd if you follow the line from the sides or follow the rear bar line which is lower so i left that alone. i did put a chrome strip under the taillights though ala BA which i liked the look of. |

Many thanks jonbays.
I'll hunt around a few auto shops to see what strips are available. If I do the mod, I'll post a few before and after pics. GK No chance of a pic of the rear bar of your wagon by any chance? |

Speaking of side rub strips, would it be possible to fit the low profile BA strips? I would assume that they are held on the same way. I think they would look heaps better than AU ones.

Yes I believe you can fir the BA "low profile" strips. onto an AU. I have seen it done before but do not knw what is involved. Surely it cant be that much.
