Default Best website to sell a 2005 Falcon?

Hello,

Just wondering what is the best website to advertise for sale a 2005 Falcon?
I live on the Gold Coast.
Should I use carguide or carsales or xxxxxx?
I already have it on Gumtree but I want more exposure.

Thanks for your help and Merry Xmas.

Adrian.

Carsales.com is the main place or Ebay if you want to move it cheaply

gumtree is full of time wasting scammers
you will know when you get the message that starts with,
hello friend I very much want to buy this car, I'm willing to pay x amount of dollars more than your asking.
Also when buying a car off gumtree, cut and paste the first sentence off the add into goggle and allot of the time you will find the same wording off an ebay add that had recently finished but didn't sell with a couple of the same pics cut and copied.
I would say put it on ebay, or atleast post it in the for sale section on this forum.

Carsales is the best bet, just make sure the photo and comments stand out from the rest. I sold my old 2005 Falcon on carsales in 2 days, but also had soooo many miners from WA and QLD call, but they all needed finance.

Some guy came to look at my car 2 days after the ad was up and paid me cash then and there for it. Happy days!

Agree, Carsales was good, for the $50 or whatever it is to place the ad it's well worth it.

Took me about 2 weeks to move my 2005 Fairmont, got $9K for it with 150000km so didn't do too badly, could have had it gone in a couple of days if I wanted to sell it cheap.. The send you a free for sale sticker too

I've used carsales twice and never got a single call. I use ebay now and have managed a good price every time. For example last week I sold my old XH van. I put up a no reserve auction starting at $1000. I was happy with anything over a grand. I had 70+ watchers, lots of calls, and heaps of interest. Lots of scammers too. The second or third guy who came and looked at it asked me how much do I want to end the auction. I said $3000, he slept on it and offered me $4000. Considering I bought my van for $3000 seven years ago I was pretty happy with the outcome.

Thanks everyone for your help.

Yes having it on gumtree only seems to attract scammers.

Last time I used carsales it took me 3 months to sell the car, simply no action.

I will try Ebay.

Merry Xmas all!
