Im just south of Christchurch, although i was there arriving at the airport yesterday. Never felt an earthquake before, would be hugely scary in the epicentre. Even 120ks south we can feel it strongly enough.
Edit: Cannot believe the amount of liquidfaction for a quick 30 second quake.

at very close to the time of that quake my wife noticed a tiny shake here. Not really certain if it was related. Anyone else heard anything like this yesterday in sydney ?
