Hey guys, just wondering what would be the better option, getting a diesel workshop to do a remap on the ECU, or just a plug and go "chip" thing, like for example:

With these chips, would they increase power/torque even more with modifications, example intercooler and exhaust?

I'm not exactly sure how the chips work, other than assuming that they are obviously pre - programmed to work with the ECU / PCM. I think both the chip and the hand held tuning units would only be based on a stock exhaust and airbox setup, custom dyno tuning would be a better option if you have modifications as the tuner can then allow for these things and get the maximum results for you
